    El-Sisi meets with the Presidential Advisor for Health and Prevention

    Dr. Mohamed Awad Taj El-Din, the Presidential Advisor for Health and Prevention Affairs, met with President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi today. Presidency spokesperson stated that the meeting discussed the executive position regarding various national health initiatives, in addition to the current situation regarding the COVID-19 pandemic.

    El-Sisi meets with the Presidential Advisor for Health and PreventionDr. Mohamed Awad Taj El-Din discussed the epidemiological situation of the spread of COVID-19 across the country, highlighting the noticeable decline in the monitoring of HIV cases in general, and that the majority of diagnosed cases have simple symptoms without complications. The President directed the continuation of awareness and vaccination campaigns nationwide, as well as facilitating access to booster doses through vaccination centers.

    As part of various national health initiatives, El-Sisi was briefed on the initiatives to end waiting lists for surgery in critical cases, where he gave directives to optimize the capabilities available within all institutions in the medical system, whether affiliated with the Ministry of Health or university hospitals.
